While painting these barricades, I noticed a roll of Scotch tape on my desk. I decided to try masking the barricades in order to paint some straight diagonal lines on them. The basic technique worked, but I have to improve my execution. Even so, I'm glad I attempted it!
You know, you can use masking tape... for masking. Although it's kind of crazy, regular masking tape really isn't all that good for masking anymore. You need the green painter's tape. It's easier to work with and much more importantly it doesn't allow bleeding paint.
ReplyDeleteAt some point, you might want to look into frisket. Frisket: the stuff that would have kept the cockpits from turning white on my childhood model airplanes had I known about it. And if I hadn't been a completely klutzy child.
