In this case, I painted the model's separate pieces individually and then glued them together once the painting was done. This allowed me to reach spots on the model's chest, abdomen, and arms that I wouldn't have been able to access if I'd assembled the model first. It was a bit of a pain, but the effort was worth it.
Had be been here, John Carter would have looked at the tiny statue with keen interest: "Why, that's the very likeness of Tars Tarkas himself! That is indeed the gold of his battle harness, and those are the true painted colours of his mighty tribe. The greatest of Jeddaks, yet rendered in the tiniest of form. Remarkable!"
ReplyDeleteOther observers would have noticed the lush Barsoomian moss, ubiquitous plant life of the red planet that is the only thing harder to kill than a Thark.
