While the right hand is more traditional, slightly more canonical, and is definitely favoured by most Legionnaires, the lack of symmetry in Earl's personal magnetic field (clearly visible in Kirilian aura photography, sometimes appearing in conventional imagery as outrageously green eyebrows)) precludes him from wearing anything made of Nth metal on that side of his body.
