I won't be able to see it until Saturday or Sunday and it's killing me. The film ended up at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes which is astounding for a Star Trek movie, especially after the unfortunate decline in quality in the last few movies. I was afraid that Paramount had exhausted the franchise but it seems that this attempted rebirth has legs.
I'm gently shepherding my 14-year-old daughter, guiding her in the ways of quality geekdom. She loved BSG, reads Neil Gaiman novels, and I'm taking her to Trek. That'll be her true geek litmus test, and the deciding factor on whether or not we decide to keep her or put her into foster care.
