The font for the Quatermass poster you are re-imagining was completely hand-drawn. Each letter is unique, even if it appears more than once. It's pretty unlikely anyone would go though the effort to make it into a computer font, although never say die.
I've looked through my font lists and found some that are mildly close. You need to be looking for cartoon fonts, preferably British animation. There's no way I am going to say any more on this topic until you restore colour sanity to your blog. Your prose should be vivid, not so much the colour scheme.
A) I miss the big face. B) Why the hell didn't the powers that be (Adobe, Microsoft) design fonts so that there could be multiple shapes for each glyph? For years I've imagined being able to type and for each letter it would randomly pick from one of, say, four slightly different designs. Then you could get convincing hand-lettering fonts.

White on red is certainly patriotic. Not sure if I like the blue side bars though.
Susan
How can your blog claim to be non-partisan when it blares Liberal red at us?
Something is afoot, here...
Seriously though, I'm not a fan of the red background.
Aaargh, please kill the red BG. Flipping from that to the white BG on the Leave A Comment Page just hurts my eyes!
